But unfortunately, this has been taken out of context in many other examples. Calculations have been made on how much you save over your lifetime if you do not watch TV! I guess you can do calculations on how much you can save over your lifetime by doing your own laundry! Golbguru is right - focus on your big ticket expenses.

Mistakes for New Parents to Avoid - Baby Expenses resonated with me because we have three kids. I certainly could have saved more money if I had followed the advice here.
